YOU BEING PRESENT IS ALL THAT MATTERS

Bible Text:- Luke 13:10-13

I was at a church service recently. Actually, it was one at my church but we had a guest speaker and he made an interesting pronouncement. He informed us that the Holy Spirit had just to him that, "there was someone in our midst with an illness that can be describe as one of sudden death but because the person was present, God has healed the person."What then followed a big shout of Amen from the rejoicing congregation.

But after the service, I pondered on the statement."healed because he/she was present." Isn't it amazing? Healed from a deadly disease because you attended a service. It wasn't about how much money he/she had given towards offering and tithing. It wasn't about how brilliantly the person smiled, danced or how early the person came to the occassion. The only reason given for being healed and delivered from death was because that individual was present.

In solitude, several thoughts started to go through my mind on how many times God could have similarly blessed me because I had made Sunday service or even endeavoured to attend a mid-week service. Also, interestingly and most frightening was how many blessings, I also would have missed because on some days, I had convinced myself with flimsy reasons why I couldn't make service. Isn't it funny how we have great excuses why we don't partake in the things of God? Well, you may also describe it as shameful too. I don't think God wants to spend eternity with someone who hasn't a personal relationship with Him (John 4:23-25) for in a similar manner, you wouldn't let a stranger spend a night over at your place. Would you?

Similarly to our bible text, we read of a woman who had been afflicted with some terrible disease for 18 years but still attended Church believing God for a miracle. I know this because she met Jesus at the Synagogue. But, on that faithful day against all odds and reasons not to go to the Synagogue, she went and met Jesus. She didn't even ask Jesus for a miracle, Jesus saw and called her and immediately declared a pronouncement of healing upon this woman and the bible said, that she was made whole immediate( Luke 13:12 ).

She didn't even see Jesus. Maybe, she didn't know the Master was in the same location as herself. To her, it may have just been another day of worship but glory be to God, Jesus was there. He got her attention and healed her. This make me to assume that she was really sick for the bible describes her as one that was bent over and couldn't raise herself up. She was going through a shameful condition she could hide just like some of us today.

I don't know and care how bad your situation is today for I have come to tell you not to stop believing in God for He will today, make a pronouncement from heaven regarding your situation. Rejoice, His Word never returns void without accomplishing that He has sent it to do Isaiah 55:11. So be rest assured of your miracle today in Jesus Name. AMEN.

God bless you and remember to share your testimonies with us at The Lord Army.
