Now, Christmas is a special season both in the physical and spiritual realm. For many, the Christmas season is a time to celebrate family, friends, book holidays and so on but there is indeed so much to it. In the physical realm, as human beings save up and make numerous plans, the same activity takes place in the spiritual realm. Also, as Christians and the rest of the world celebrate the birth of our Saviour Jesus Christ, the enemy is planning the death of many. The Bible says, the enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy lives... (John 10:10) and indeed there isn't any better time for the enemy to carry out these activities.
During this season, the enemy makes you to re-evaluate the year lying to you that you didn't make any progress in the year and there shouldn't be any need for you to live to see another. For this reason, suicide rates become high. The enemy makes you to make excessive expenditures and wrong investments that you start out the new year frustrated, in debt and broke. The following year then starts out with you seeking a loan and your first pay cheque of the year goes into paying debt instead of paying your first fruit in Church. You then are robbed of your blessing. Regrettably, the unexpected death of loved ones this season also
destroys the lives of many families, shatter dreams and people lose hope in themselves.
The Christmas season isn't all that bad and there are good things attached to it which we will discuss tomorrow. For the meantime, gather your friends, colleagues at work or school and pray together. Pray for peace and cancel every plan the enemy has proposed for your life this season. It is meant to be a season for your breakthrough in every area of your life. Don't let the enemy tell you or make it otherwise. God loves you and so do we at THE LORD ARMY. |
